  • Overview

    We are seeking a Commercial Painter for assignment in Atlanta, Georgia. The selected candidate will be responsible for journey level work in the painting, finishing, and maintainance of a wide variety of interior and exterior surfaces, structures and equipment at our clients commercial facility.


    Hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm


    ** Candidates must be willing to work weekends, holidays and alternate shift work in order to meet client requirements **


    - Prepares, primes, sands, seals, and patches surfaces before painting to include furniture, surfaces, buildings, and fixtures utilizing all types of painting materials such as varnish, lacquer, shellac, enamel, latex, epoxy, water-proofing and heat resistant finishes

    - Prepares, primes, sands, and applies chemical resistive paints, epoxies, and coatings in areas containing chemical storage

    - Tapes, flushes, repairs and applies texturing, wallpaper, and acoustic layers on a variety of surfaces. Adjusts colors when necessary; utilizes enhanced finishing skills when appropriate

    - Applies materials to new construction, existing, multi-story buildings, alterations,remodeling, facilities equipment

    - Graffiti response and removal using a variety of available products and soda blasting

    - Operates, cleans and maintains all painting equipment, including brush, roll, sprayers and electrostatic sprayers, pumps, etc.

    - Safely stores and labels all materials

    - Estimates time and materials required; submits work order response, labor and description of work performed through the project CMMS

    - Erects scaffolding, rigging and ladders as necessary in a manner consistent with safety codes and company safety requirements

    - Offers assistance and advice on materials, designs, and color

    - Responds to routine and emergency calls for repairs and service

    - May train and direct the work of other classified staff in the area

    - Assists and serves as back up to other Facility Maintenance employees

    - Works closely with site Safety Manager to confirm work pre-task plans are submitted & reviewed in a timely manner when required

    - Follows all client policies and procedures for storing, transporting of paint materials and cleaners, and disposal of related hazardous waste materials


    - High School Diploma or GED

    - A valid Drivers License

    - Minimum 3-5 years experience as a journey-level painter in a commercial/industrial environment; both interior and exterior
