  • Overview

    We are seeking a Designer for assignment in Hillsboro, Oregon. The selected candidate will be responsible for preparing drawings and sketches using CAD workstations, appropriate design criteria and technical manuals. Often working closely with engineers to coordinate designs.


    Hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm


    - Is recognized and valued by the business unit as being among the most highly efficient and productive CAD operators

    - Regularly attends and completes internal and external training programs designed to improve individual’s understanding and expertise in own engineering technology or in CAD operations

     -Demonstrates capability of reviewing deliverable work of others in own engineering discipline for conformance with project standards and correctness. Is innovative in meeting deliverable deadlines and in adhering to assigned scope of work

    - Demonstrates excellent design automation skills. Is a practitioner of advanced design automation techniques and leads others in adopting those techniques

    - May participate in regional CAD user’s groups or local CAD organizations

    - Accesses and applies the Automation eLearning demonstration videos to advance own knowledge, and encourages others to do the same

    - Proficient in checking own work and coordinating work with related disciplines

    - Proficient in discipline-specific 3D modeling tools

    - Takes responsibility for their portion of the discipline’s scope, schedule and budget. Continued demonstration of reliability and accountability for own work products. Meets or exceeds deliverable deadlines

    - Ability to support work for/in other offices (including TDY)

    - Performs some of the tasks listed in the Project Automation Lead or Lead Designer functions

    - Serves as a mentor to more junior technicians and assist with finding answers to technical questions and concerns

    - Proactive in advancing workflows, systems and tools within their own discipline; embraces emerging technologies


    - High School Diploma or GED

    - 7+ years experience as a Designer or CAD Operator
