  • Overview

    We are currently seeking a Manufacturing Scheduler for a contract opportunity with a prominent Houston, TX - based manufacturing solutions company. 


    The Manufacturing Scheduler will be responsible for:


    - The overall project management, coordination, execution, budget and deliverables, in a rapid environment.

    - Working closely with business functions to: understand their needs; timelines and costs; and track and plan resource deployment

    - Collaborating with multi-functional teams, vendors and Service Providers

    - Being able to help identify and triage new issues for criticality and ownership, mostly independently, due to technical awareness

    - Scheduling and hosting team leader meetings to ensure team alignment

    - Reviewing and understanding completely Customer’s Request for Quote (RFQ) and specifications.

    - Reviewing projected budgets.

    - Reviewing installation concerns and coordination plans.

    - Pushing as required to drive tasks to completion from team members.

    - Coordinating internally with Sales, Operations, Engineering, and Purchasing to organize all electrical project aspects and ensure each department understands their project role and expected tasks.

    - Preparing required documents for QMS system to remain compliant on the job.

    - Following up with others to maintain task completion on time

    - Reviewing and approving designs for proper function, safety aspects and good engineering practices.

    - Submitting, monitoring and reviewing status of design submittal packages to customer.

    - Initiating and monitoring change orders required by scope and design change

    - Collecting and ensuring all documentation is completed as required (Checklists, time sheets, work logs)

    - Monitoring and working with all departments to track and ensure costs come in at or under budget

    - Acting as supervisor on-site for production crews

    - Planning for proper staffing levels on job sites



    - B.S. Degree (Electrical Engineering or Construction Management preferred) from an accredited university or school, or 10 years of experience.

    - At least five years in relevant work experience.

    - Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and peers.

    - PMP certification preferred

    - Should be proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, and Project)
