  • Overview

    We are seeking a Commercial Plumber for assignment in Groton, Connecticut. The selected candidate will provide plumbing support to our clients industrial/commercial facility.

     

    Hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

     

    ** We are seeking candidates with a commercial/industrial background **

    ** Candidates knowledgeable with BFP’s, steam traps, cooling towers and boilers are highly preferred **

    Responsibilities

    - Performs plumbing services for interior floor drains and related drain piping, restroom/shower room, chiller tube cleaning, fluid systems, steam/condensate lines and exhaust fans

    - Maintains cleanliness and integrity of drains (including production floor drains, roof drains and restroom/café drains)

    - Complete chiller tube maintenance and preventative maintenance on chilled water/glycol systems; perform chiller tube bundle maintenance on building automation systems chillers and boilers

    - Perform preventative maintenance on mechanical fan mechanisms and repair/replacement work as required

    - Duties could include building, modifying, testing, troubleshooting, or repairing equipment/apparatus or systems of considerable complexity

    - Willingly performs other duties as directed by the section’s supervisor

    - Assists senior maintenance technicians by performing tasks that are usually routine in nature

    - Expected to perform all duties in accordance with company and safety standards

    Qualifications

    - High School Diploma or GED

    - A valid Drivers License

    - Minimum 2 - 5 years facility plumbing experience

    - Knowledge of BFP’s, steam traps, cooling towers and boilers is highly preferred

    - A Journeyman designation is highly preferred
