  • Overview

    We are seeking a Fire Systems Technician for assignment in Atlanta, Georgia. The selected candidate will support a team engaged in critical testing, inspection and servicing of fire suppression systems, as well as corrective and preventive system maintenance tasks vital to the safe operation of our facility.

     

    Hours are Monday - Friday, 10:00pm - 6:00am

     

    ** This is a 3rd shift position **

    ** Candidate needs to have experience with wet and dry sprinkler systems **

    Responsibilities

    - Demonstrates basic knowledge of fire suppression systems in a commercial, institutional or manufacturing setting

    - Familiar with and able to perform basic testing, inspection, servicing, preventative maintenance and repair of fire suppression equipment

    - Conducts performance tests on wet, dry, pre-action and deluge systems and records information in INFOR Enterprise Asset Management System or other CMMS/EAM system

    - Basic troubleshooting, inspections, performing preventative and corrective maintenance tasks on wet, dry, pre-action and deluge sprinkler systems and operating test equipment

    - Ability to mount and connect wet and dry sprinkler system components and practice correct wiring methods

    - Ability to read and understand blue prints and drawings

    - Basic knowledge of operations of pumps, accelerators, switches, gauges, smoke detector modules and other fire system components

    - Uses, cares for and is responsible for tools and equipment for the repair and maintenance of fire suppression systems

    - Familiar with the operational components and electrical systems typical of wet, dry, pre-action and deluge fire suppression systems

    - Properly documents all INFOR work orders in a timely manner including detailed notes of tasks performed with accurate work hours recorded

    Qualifications

    - High School Diploma or GED

    - A valid Drivers License

    - Minimum 6 months to 1 year of experience working in the testing, inspection, servicing, preventative maintenance and repair of fire alarm and fire suppression systems (wet, dry, pre-action and deluge)
