  • Overview

    We are seeking a Structural Engineer for assignment in Long Beach, California. The selected candidate will perform a variety of engineering work in the initial planning and design phase of equipment, systems, or processes at Carson and Wilmington.

     

    Hours are Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 4:00pm

     

    ** This position requires a TWIC Card **

    Responsibilities

    - Performs a variety of engineering work in the initial planning and design phase of equipment, systems, or processes

    - Specifications are prepared, and necessary subcontracts and requisitions are defined

    - The incumbent has deep knowledge of multiple subject areas or disciplines; thorough understanding of business objectives, priorities and strategy for own area; and understands industry practices and competitors

    - With minimal supervision, the individual at this level is responsible for independently applying advanced engineering techniques and analyses for problems and methods

    - May provide technical guidance to drafters/designers and engineers

    - Work at this level usually requires extensive progressive experience in general engineering

    Qualifications

    - Bachelors Degree in Structural Engineering 

    - Registered Professional Engineer (PE) is required

    - TWIC card required

    - Minimum 6 years experience in structural analysis and design using STAAD.Pro is required

    - Must have experience generating calculations for structural steel and reinforced concrete, preferably for industrial projects

    - Experience leading designers and drafters to convert design to construction drawings

    - Familiarity with SmartPlant is a plus
