Overview

We have an opening for a Fire Suppression Technician to work in the Bozeman, MT area.  A Fire Suppression Service Technician will be responsible for inspecting, testing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of fire suppression systems to include, but not limited to, sprinkler systems, backflow preventers, fire pumps, fire alarm, off road vehicle systems, extinguishers, kitchen hoods, etc.  A working knowledge of system controls and components is a must.

Responsibilities

 - NICET 2 and/or state certification required.

 - Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and acceptable driving record.

 - 2+ years of experience required

 - Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and work on a ladder.

 - Communicate with internal and external customers in a professional manner.

 - Proper use and operation of tools required to complete the inspections and service.

 - Plan, coordinate, and complete inspections and services as scheduled in a timely manner.

 - Ability to operate a computer, tablet, and read electronic blueprints.

 - Ability to record data and report deficiencies.

 - On-call rotation with other technicians to handle emergency service and inspection requests.

 - Building Reports experience preferred.

 - Service Trade experience preferred.

 - Must be able to work alone and as part of a team.

 - Must have mechanical aptitude.

Qualifications

 - NICET licensing or other state fire sprinkler certifications required

 - Valid driver license with a safe driving record required

 - 4+ years of experience installing fire sprinkler systems preferred

 - Ability to work independently and in a professional manner

 - Self-motivated

 - Detail oriented

 - Good customer skills & communication

 - Willing to lift at least 50 pounds and work on a ladder

 - Forklift & man lift operation experience

 - Basic communication skills

 - Pre-employment drug screen will be performed
