We are seeking an Instrument and Controls Engineer with HMI / PLC Programming experience for a contract-to-direct assignment in San Jose, California. The selected candidate will work on projects that include state of the art industrial and commercial facilities.


Hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm


** This position has a pay rate of $50 - $57.50/hr **

** This position requires PLC and HMI Programming experience **

** This position requires proof of COVID vaccination **


- Install, program and commission facility control systems for semiconductor manufacturing tools, and in support of new construction and retrofit projects

- Engage with clients and subcontractors

- Participate in regular field walks to maintain the existing facility control systems including diagnosing and troubleshooting issues that arise

- Analog, digital and relay field wiring and troubleshooting of devices and PLC hardware

- Understanding of the concepts and principles of electronic and pneumatic process controls

- Design of industrial control panels

- Knowledge and understanding of the functions of electronic pressure, level, temperature and other "smart" transmitters

- Preparation of P&IDs and the ability to use technical libraries to determine state-of-the-art methods for instrument selection, and application

- Keep records, manage multiple demanding project schedules, prepare accurate reports, interpret varied instrumentation and engineering diagrams, specifications and schematics



- Bachelors Degree in Electrical, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering

- 3+ years experience working with Instrumentation and Control Systems

- Previous experience in a semiconductor or manufacturing environment

- PLC experience (Allen Bradley and G.E.)

- HMI programming experience (G.E. Cimplicity SCADA, Ignition SCADA, and other object-oriented systems)

- Control Panel design experience is highly preferred

- Creating Sequence of Operations experience is highly preferred

- Proof of COVID Vaccination
