We are seeking a Vehicle / Equipment Mechanic for a contract-to-direct assignment in Atlanta, Georgia. The selected candidate will perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on project and client fleet vehicles, man and forklifts, bobcats, tool cats, spreaders, plows, drain grates, gate arms, guard rails, bollards and other equipment.
Hours are Monday - Friday, 6:00am - 2:00pm
- Preventive maintenance and repairs of motor-driven equipment such as automobiles, trucks, lifts, tool-cats, spreaders, and plows
- Required to operate tool-cats and lifts for maintenance and to assist with special projects
- Manages snow warehouse planning and operations in the event of an inclement weather event (snow, ice, sleet, etc.), including installation of spreaders and plows on fleet trucks, as well as overseeing the year-round operations and conditions of the snow warehouse
- Coordinate the movement of various lifts around the airport for special projects and for pickup when sent out for major repairs and annual recertification
- Investigate, trouble-shoot, and repair mechanical gate arms for airport employee parking lots
- Make emergency minor repairs on equipment and vehicles as necessary
- Design, build and weld various specialty items such as drain grates, covers for holding tanks, protective railings, etc.
- Repair, reset and weld bollards that are regularly damaged and displaced across the airport
- Identify, order, coordinate, and pick up repair parts and equipment for assigned work, as well as emergency project requests
- Deliver client vehicles to and from various maintenance and repair shops to maintain the operations of the AAT project fleet vehicles
- Document all work planned and completed work in Hexagon computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
- Perform other assigned duties as required
- High School Diploma or GED
- A valid Drivers License
- Proven experience as a Mechanic
