We have an opening for a Document Control Specialist to work in the Tulsa, OK area.



Our Client is a Fortune 500 company and an independent petroleum refiner that focuses primarily on producing high-value light products such as gasoline, diesel fuel, jet fuel, specialty lubricant products and specialty and modified asphalt.  They own and operate several refineries located primarily in Southwestern United States and market their products to this area, as well as the Rocky Mountains, extending into the Pacific Northwest and other neighboring Plains states.


 - Receive repair reports and equipment data from various sources, i.e. engineers, craftspeople, vendors, & etc.

 - Scan reports and data into electronic documents if not already received in electronic format.

 - Create historical summary documents based on legacy written and electronic information.

 - Assist in establishing folder hierarchy and metadata for electronic files.

 - Store electronic document in correct locations.

 - Migrate electronic documents from one database to another.


- Prior experience in document control as a clerk or specialist; Oil and Gas background not required

- Knowledge of document control software, process map software, FTP clients, ISO, SharePoint and/or FileNet, preferred.

- Experience using a scanner to digitize documents.

- A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent. Five years of work experience in an industrial setting is preferred. Preferred Education is an associates or bachelor's degree.

- Self-directed, able to work independently, and highly-motivated.

- DCS work in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment, so it's important they can stay focused and carry out their tasks in a timely and accurate manner.

- Must be detail-oriented, dependable and trustworthy due to working with complex and sensitive documents.

- DCS should have the ability to prioritize, manage time well, multitask and troubleshoot.

- Strong interpersonal, communication and customer service skills are also essential because they must regularly communicate with internal and external business partners.

- Must be computer-savvy and well-versed in Microsoft Office products.  Must have experience with Excel; how to use formulas, pivots, etc.

 - Experience with Visual Basic is a plus, but not required.  Exposure to it would be nice.

 - Experience with AutoCAD would be nice because they may need to view documents within that tool, however, they are not required to be an expert as some training will be provided

 - Need someone with punctuality and good attendance record
