Overview

We have an opening for a Sr Field Technician to work in the Midland, TX area.

 

 

Our Client is a primary solution provider that engineers and manufactures environmental, production and process equipment for the upstream, midstream and downstream energy industries, as well as environmental control solutions for biogas at wastewater facilities, digester tanks, landfills or breweries.  In addition to being present in all major markets in the US, our client also serves 45 countries around the world.

Responsibilities

 - Supports a philosophy of zero accidents by following all applicable safety procedures and maintaining equipment to operate in the safest way possible

 - Combustor/Flare Maintenance Techs Perform tasks while on manlift at heights between 20’-50’

 - Performs work associated with leading Techs to maintain and install oil and gas production equipment

 - Project workload and capacity reports for the sales team

 - Work closely with sales to ensure jobs are scheduled and completed in a timely and organized fashion

 - Adhere to company policies and procedures 

 - Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude

 - Flexibility to work necessary hours to meet customer requirements

 - Assist and Train Field Techs to install and maintain burner management systems in the field

 - Assist Field Service crews with equipment repairs and maintenance as needed

 - Ensure timecards, field tickets and material transfers are completed and turned in timely and organized 

 - Assist Techs with startup, troubleshooting, inspection and repair of Oil and Gas Production Equipment

 - Works closely with Client customers to ensure job satisfaction 

 - Fills out all safety documentation to ensure job is completed in a safe manner

 - Maintains company truck and ensures that all required maintenance is preformed

Qualifications

 - High School Diploma or equivalent 

 - Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

 - Successfully pass and obtain DOT Certification

 - Successfully pass and obtain DISA Certification

 - Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

 - No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area (50 miles) of facility location will be considered.  

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 - Minimum of six (6) years of Oil / Gas experience  (3-4 years on TECH II position)

 - Minimum of four (4) years of environmental equipment experience (combustion, compression, BMS) or - 4 years’ experience with production/midstream equipment (mini 2-3 yrs on tech II)

 - Minimum of two (2) years in a leadership role

 - Minimum 1-2 years electrical and mechanical troubleshooting

 - Fundamental knowledge of the national Electrical Code and the Electrical Trade.  

 - Working knowledge of hand tools associated with the electrical trade and electrical testing equipment (Multimeters, meggers, 4-20 signal drivers, battery testers)

 - Training/Experience in Industrial Wiring, Motor Controls, Relay Logic and PLC’s

 - Training/Experience Reading and Interpreting Electrical, P&ID, GA and Fabrication drawings

 - Training/Experience Working with Electrical instrumentation (Flow/Pressure Transmitters, Thermocouples, Etc.)

 - Training/Experience Working with Electrical motors, starters and drives

 - Training/Experience Working with Vacuum pumps, blowers and belt driven/direct drive motors

 - Training/Experience Working with pneumatic and electric actuators and valves

 - Training/Experience Working with detonation and flame arrestors

 - Training/Experience Working with pressure/vacuum relief valves and mechanical check valves

 - Training/Experience Computer skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office application package, Outlook, and ERP and MRP database driven software.
