Overview

We have an opening for an Assembler to work in the Midland, TX area.

 

 

Our Client is a primary solution provider that engineers and manufactures environmental, production and process equipment for the upstream, midstream and downstream energy industries, as well as environmental control solutions for biogas at wastewater facilities, digester tanks, landfills or breweries.  In addition to being present in all major markets in the US, our client also serves 45 countries around the world.

 

Responsibilities

 - Support a philosophy of zero accidents by following all applicable safety procedures and maintaining equipment to operate in the safest way possible

 - Measures and marks pipe for cutting and threading according to specifications

 - Cuts pipe, using saws, pipe cutter, hammer and chisel, cutting torch, and pipe cutting machine

 - Threads pipe, using pipe threading machine

 - Tack-Weld fitted parts

 - Assembles and installs a variety of metal and non-metal pipes, tubes, and fittings, including iron, steel, copper, and plastic

 - Connects pipes, using threaded, caulked, soldered, brazed, fused, or cemented joints, and hand tools

 - Secures piping to structures with brackets, clamps, and hangers, using hand and power tools

 - Align and fit parts according to blueprint/P&ID specifications

 - Support Manufacturing Engineering on improvement projects

 - Support the efforts of Lean and Continuous Improvement teams

 - Adhere to company policies, procedures, and

 - Create and maintain a safe and sanitary working

 - Maintain a positive, team-oriented

 - Flexibility to work hours necessary to meet plant requirement

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

 - High School Diploma or Equivalent

 - Requires a minimum of 3-5 years of related work experience in a manufacturing environment

 - Basic understanding of hand and power tools and proper use

 - Ability to read and use tape measure accuracy

 - Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without

 - No relocation benefit is being offered for this Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area (50 miles) of facility location will be considered.

 

Preferred:

 - Blue print reading and knowledge

 

Physical Requirements:

 - Ability to stand, sit and/or walk on a hard surface for long periods of time as well as safely bend, stoop, reach, climb steps and use

 - Ability to reach overhead; have full range of mobility in upper and lower body

 - Repeat various motions with the wrists, hands and fingers

 - Ability to work in different environment working conditions (heat, cold, rain and humidity)

 - Ability to lift up to 50 pounds following safety

 - Vision abilities required: close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust

 

Other Skills/Abilities:

 - Good written/oral communication skills and interpersonal skills

 - Knowledge of machines, tools, their uses benefits, and maintenance

 - Ability to read level and tape measure with accuracy

 - Ability to understand production (SOP/Work Instructions), procedures and safety

 - Knowledge of inputs, outputs, raw materials, waste, quality control, assets, and techniques used for maximizing the manufacturing of products
