We have several openings for Welders to work in the Midland, TX area.




Our Client is a primary solution provider that engineers and manufactures environmental, production and process equipment for the upstream, midstream and downstream energy industries, as well as environmental control solutions for biogas at wastewater facilities, digester tanks, landfills or breweries.  In addition to being present in all major markets in the US, our client also serves 45 countries around the world.


Position, rework, fit and weld according to written and typed instructions, blueprints, manufacturer's specifications and knowledge of characteristics of metal. Select equipment and plan layout, fabrication, assembly and welding.


 - Lay out, position, align and fit components together using applicable machines, tools and equipment.

 - Bolt, clamp and tack-weld parts to secure them in position for final welding.

 - Set up and weld parts using welding equipment.

 - Maintain sufficient knowledge of geometry, arithmetic, structural design, heat effects and allowances for thickness of metal to project location of holes, cuts and bends from blueprints, written and typed instructions and manufacturer's specifications.

 - Use hand tools and be able to correctly setup and operate applicable shop machines.

 - Perform arc and oxy-acetylene welding, cutting and brazing on various ferrous and nonferrous metals, in accordance with established methods and procedures.

 - Maintain production documentation per required procedure.

 - Perform other work related tasks as assigned.

 - Comply with all Client HSE policies and procedures.


Facility/Group Specific Responsibilities

 - Fabricate parts by bolting, clamping and tack welding according to blueprints, shop routers and procedures.

 - Must be able to write legibly and know how to set up, operate and maintain welding equipment and tools.

 - Set up and weld parts using welding equipment.

 - Use hand tools and be able to correctly set up and operate applicable machines.

 - Must be able to perform work with minimum supervision and exercise individual initiative and judgment.

 - Must maintain production documentation per required procedure. To perform arc welding, flux-core welding, and submerged arc welding in accordance with established methods and procedures.

 - Execute activities following the daily Job Hazard Analysis (JHA)

 - Perform work tasks with safety as the highest priority, followed by quality, productivity and expedient delivery.

 - Understand and apply Client Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS)

 - Perform other work related tasks as required and assigned.



 - Meet Client welding certifications.

 - 3+ years practical welding experience.

 - Able to read prints and interpret all welding symbols.

 - Must have experience fitting and welding pressurized pipe 

 - Must have extensive knowledge of Stick welding operations 

 - Must have the ability to safely fit & weld within the guidelines of Sec 8 Div 9 ASME and AWSD1.1 Code per quality standard 

 - Must have the ability to short arc, spray arc, and use a torch proficiently 

 - The ability to set up, adjust, and maintain welding equipment such as electric arc welders, and gas welders 


Job Requirements

 - Follows daily work scheduled hours.

 - Exposed to loud noise while in the warehouse.

 - Exposed to moving parts while on the shop floor.

 - Limited (5%) travel required outside local facility.

 - Works in warehouse/shop floor environment setting 100% of the time.

 - Exposed to occasional hot and/or cold weather depending on outside climate conditions and warehouse temperature since the shop floor is neither airconditioned nor heated.

 - Wears proper PPE while in the warehouse.

 - Communicates well with other employees.

 - Works well alone and in team environments.

 - Adheres to facilities safety policies and attends all monthly safety training.

 - Attends all Human Resource directed training via classroom, Achieve, or iComply CBT.


Technical Competencies

 - Operates both JIB and Overhead cranes.

 - Operates Class IV Forklifts (Hyster 50-170).

 - Able to read company schematics/blueprints/diagrams/drawings.

 - Wears a Fall Protection Harness when performing work at heights.

 - Able to weld in the following position/type(s): 1G & 4G (Groove & Fillet).

 - Able to weld in the following classifications: TIG & MIG, Flux-Cored, Stick (shielded metal arc (SMAW), gas tungsten arc, and gas metal arc welding).
