Overview

We have an opening for a Document Control Specialist to work in the Houston, TX area.

Responsibilities

Knowledge of document control processes and systems on Major Capital Projects, and of the interface management in the major execution of contracts (e.g. FEED, EPC, EPCM) Cross-discipline.

 


 - This position will administer and perform document control functions for Large Capital Projects. The responsibilities for the position include the following:
 - Processes all Project official documentation (includes Expedite, receipt, process, control review cycles, and maintain revision history for engineering documents, Requisitions, Purchase Orders, ITPs and Inspection Reports) generated by company and contractor to be stored in the Document Management System
 - Expedite, receipt, process, control review cycles, and maintain revision history for Supplier documents
 - Maintain Document Management for all new projects
 - Work with EPC company to help facilitate Job Data Books to insure all documentation is properly handed over at end of projects
 - Ensure the accuracy and quality control of documentation
 - Assist project manager on special projects and analytical activities when required, 

 - Attend project Kick-off meeting
 - Support project team during the feed and design phase through site and facility documentation, managing existing facility documents and reports, facilitate design team access
 - Handle multiple high volume projects at once with great accuracy
 - Support integration of document control strategies between the EPC Contractor and Client to ensure improved work processes
 - Provide, support, and provide instruction on work processes and systems for the  Client as required
 - Support Contract and Document Control Compliance initiatives defined by Client to ensure that file systems information are up to date and organized
 - Support Document Control Planning for Client Site Office and Core Team requirements for Field Document Control processes and procedures
 - Ensure the accuracy and quality of the workflow process for documentation within the Client EDMS

Qualifications

 - 5+ years of Document Control experience working with:
        - DCS solutions (Documentum, LiveLink and/or similar industry solutions)
        - Contract procurement documentation
        - Owner's Scope documentation
        - Vendor documents

Key Systems and Processes:
 - Microsoft Excel
 - EPC EDMS LiveLink (OpenText)
 - Site Project Procedures
 - Site Project Close-Out Procedure
