Overview

We are seeking an Electrician for assignment in Pembroke Pines, Florida. The selected candidate will perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on wastewater treatment plant equipment and instruments.

 

Hours are Monday - Thursday, 7:00am - 5:00pm

 

** This position has an on-call schedule **

Responsibilities

- Perform scheduled maintenance on wastewater and water plant electrical components

- Assist in repair and/or replacement of water and wastewater plant motors, pumps, and associated equipment

- Repair and/or replacement of electrical motors, panels, and components

- Correctly diagnose equipment failure problems and be able to instigate proper repair procedures

- Work within confined spaces such as sewage/water equipment tanks

- Operate and maintain equipment in accordance with manufacturer instructions

- Troubleshoot failures at water/wastewater plant sites including: pumps, motors, process equipment and electrical components

- Generate associated reports with repairs

- Operate an electronic work order and asset management system as it relates to maintenance and repair of water and wastewater plant facilities and its associated equipment

- Interpret and works from blueprints, drawings, sketches, plans and technical documents

- Establish and enforces uniform electrical repair safety procedures at all plant sites

- Make modifications to AS-BUILD drawings based on system modifications and updates to all electrical component equipment history

- Maintain records of associated with all electrical repairs and modifications

- Perform other duties as required

Qualifications

- High School Diploma or GED

- A valid Drivers License

- A Licensed Electrician is highly preferred

- Mechanical experience is highly preferred
