We are seeking a Lead Pump Mechanic for assignment in Hoboken, New Jersey. The selected candidate will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on buildings, structures, grounds, machinery and equipment.

Hours are Monday - Friday, 6:30am - 3:00pm

** Candidates must have experience with pumps in order to be considered **

- Oil changes

- Impeller clearance and shaft runout inspections

- Motor / pulley alignment

- Troubleshooting a variety of electrical and mechanical equipment on-site

- Pump Alignment

- Mechanical Seal replacement

- Lubricate equipment and check for malfunctions

- Replace packing in pumps or valves

- Replace bearings in motors, pumps, and other equipment

- Tune engines, set valve clearance, clean, and adjust regulators

- Examine equipment failures to identify cause and to prevent recurrences

- Install and sets up new equipment

- Clean and paint interior and exterior of equipment

- Lean out pipes and perform other plumbing and pipe fitting tasks as required

- Use gas and/or arc welding equipment to heat, cut, braze, or weld

- Assist in keeping maintenance records

- Perform other duties as required

- High School Diploma or GED

- A valid Drivers License

- 4+ years of mechanical / electrical experience working on pump motors, controls and other equipment

- Proficient in the use of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)

- Ability to function and perform effectively as a manager and supervisor
