Overview

We have an opening for a Project Lead to work in the Williston, ND area.

 

Our Client is an American energy company operating principally in the U.S. and Canada, that specializes in the drilling and production of unconventional oil and natural gas assets.  Our client has a reputation for efficient resource development, environmental stewardship and community involvement, with a drive to meet the growing challenges of the domestic natural gas industry.

Responsibilities

The Project Lead is primarily responsible for functioning as an Owner's Rep, working in a manager capacity on our client's front- end loading group of projects. This is greenfield, grassroots work on upstream, onshore oil and gas facilities and Gathering Projects. 

 

The Project Lead is also responsible for:

 

- Monitoring the Engineering, managerial and administrative processes in order to implement continuous improvement and quality assurance

- Overseeing cost estimates for Engineering design, bid analysis, drafting supervision, fabrication and onshore installation of oil and natural gas production facilities

- Leading in the preparation of bid packages and project management scheduling to optimize and expedite simulation, safety analysis of our client's production facilities; executing aggressive schedules

- Project Manager should be able to communicate and follow schedules and time lines.

- Be able to read and follow Pad Facility drawings and P&ID’s

- Be comfortable in having safety related discussions and participate/ lead kickoff  

- Be able to Combine/ Submit weekly costs and pad build status on time.

- Be able to communicate with various crafts/ roles to share job objectives verbally and via electronic communication means in a professional manner.

- Electrical construction practice knowledge a plus

- Knowledge and understanding of mechanical construction best practices and guidelines

- P6 scheduling tool experience a plus

- Maintain and manage budget and timeline while ensuring overall productivity, quality, and safety of a project

- Project management skills

 

 

Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical preferred

- 7- 10+ years of Project Managetment in oilfield Construction or Engineer capacity

- Prior project work within upstream, onshore oil and gas industry
