We are seeking a Flushing Technician for assignment in The Villages, Florida. The selected candidate will perform flushing tasks connected with the operation of the city's non-potable water distribution system.

Hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

** This position has a pay rate of $15.50/hr **

** This position has an on-call schedlue **

- Works on flushing the non-potable water distribution system utilizing flushing equipment systems and flushing devices

- Utilizes equipment and technologies that ensure proper cleaning of irrigation lines

- Checks and monitors the water quality in the distribution system

- Reviews reports and implements maintenance schedules for equipment to maintain proper water quality and flushing for an assigned area

- Reviews and monitors flushing equipment

- Initiates, prepares, and reviews work orders and administratively tracks work orders covering maintenance, repairs, and improvements

- Identifies, describes, schedules, and tracks flushing related plans and activities

- High School Diploma or GED

- A valid Drivers License

- Familiarity with hand and power tools

- Knowledge of pipe cleaning and flushing methods is highly preferred
