We are seeking a Wastewater Operator for assignment in Crescent City, California. The selected candidate will perform a variety of tasks in the operations and maintenance of a wastewater treatment plant including maintenance of equipment, quality control/testing and other day-to-day activities on an assigned shift.

Hours are Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm

** This position requires a valid California Grade III Wastewater Certificate **

** This position may include weekends and an on-call schedule **

- Diagnose operating problems
- Directs and performs necessary corrective action during work shift

- Reads gauges and meters

- Starts, and stops equipment

- Operates valves to route and control flow

- Makes process control adjustments

- Determines, and sets proper chemical dosage and flow rates

- Operates PLCs and SCADA systems

- Prepares required reports and maintains complete record keeping procedures

- Collects samples and performs routine laboratory tests and analyses plant influent, plant process and plant effluent

- Makes entries in plant logs

- Conducts meetings and training sessions pertaining to safety, process control, etc.
- Performs other duties as required

- High School Diploma or GED

- A valid Drivers License

- A valid Grade III Wastewater Certificate 

- 1+ years experience operating and maintaining a wastewater treatment plant

- Ability to operate plant PLC's and SCADA systems
