We are seeking a Preventive / Corrective Maintenance Technician for assignment in The Villages, Florida. The selected candidate will assist with diagnosing malfunctions and perform the effective course of action for correcting them.

Hours are Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4:30pm

** This position requires familiarity with internal combustion engines and electrical pump motors **

- Assists with the inspection of buildings and equipment for needed maintenance and repair

- Performs skilled mechanical repair work on water/wastewater and irrigation treatment plant engines, pumps and other equipment

- Ensures the proper use and care of tools, materials and safety equipment 

- Reads, interprets and works from blueprints, drawings, sketches, plans, specifications and mechanical illustrations
- Assists with keeping maintenance records of all work done on equipment

- Assists with the preparation of routine and special reports

- Performs other duties as assigned

- High School Diploma or GED

- A valid Drivers License

- 1+ year of experience in mechanical, structural and grounds preventive maintenance

- Familiarity with internal combustion engines and electrical pump motors

- Basic electrical knowledge
